Nominations Open: SASSF Committee By-Elections

Nominations are open for two vacancies on the Sexual Assault Survivor Support Fund (SASSF) Committee. All Trans Feminist Action Caucus (TFAC) members are eligible for nomination. The nomination period will be open until April 8, 10 AM.

Members wishing to nominate themselves can email the TFAC Co-Chairs: Océane Nyela (tfac1@cupe3903.org) and/or Orçun Turan (tfac2@cupe3903.org) before April 8, 10 AM with a brief (under 300 words) candidate statement. Nominations will also be accepted in person at the April TFAC meeting. A paid honorarium is offered with this position.

SASSF Committee responsibilities

  • Adjudicate applications to the Sexual Assault Survivor Support Fund in the Fall, Winter, Summer semesters and on an emergency basis (if necessary)
  • Submit JotForm expenses to distribute funds
  • Liaise with members applying to the Sexual Assault Survivor Support Fund and the TFAC Co-chairs
  • Submit a yearly report on the adjudication of the fund and any related issues
