The CUPE 3903 Archive is Now Public, on Archeion!

Following a motion at the General Membership Meeting on July 27 2026, CUPE 3903 became an Institutional Member of the Archives Association of Ontario (AAO). The AAO will provide support to CUPE 3903 and its Archive Committee in the preservation and publicization of our historical records. Included in our membership was the opportunity to host a public webpage on Archeion, the AAO’s database of member archives in Ontario.

The CUPE 3903 Archeion page is now live! CUPE 3903 members, representatives from other unions, and external researchers can now easily discover the CUPE 3903 Archive and direct research inquiries to the Archive Committee. The Archive’s growing public visibility will encourage use of our history in future organizing and research activities.

At present, the CUPE 3903 Archive Archeion page is sparse. It will grow in information over the course of the Archive Committee’s current term. Members can be assured, though, that no private information or confidential material will be shared through Archeion, and that the Union maintains complete discretion in whether or not it chooses to release historical records to external researchers.

Members interested in learning more about the Archive and our holdings, volunteering with the CUPE 3903 Archive, or conducting their own research with us are encouraged to write to the Archive Committee at archive@cupe3903.org.
