Relational accountability was the focus of the Mentoring Fund Committee‘s very exciting September 10 event. Here is a brief recap of some highlights from this workshop!
In this co-facilitated event, members started off by getting some outdoor time to connect with their surroundings and each other. Heading back to the CUPE 3903 Office, attendees then engaged in a variety of hands-on activities that nurtured their understandings of our responsibilities and relationships with each other, our communities, the Land we inhabit, and ourselves.
There were multiple tactile and sensory-focused components to this workshop’s explorations of mutual care and responsibility. In the office, members got crafty with a collective and collaborative beading activity. Participants then created mud balls filled with marigold seeds to literally sow new beginnings in their various environments.
Keep checking the newsletter for more chances to share space and share experiences with fellow CUPE 3903 members! You can see a collage below, created by a Mentoring Fund Committee member, which has photos from the event.
