We hope that all CUPE 3903 members are having a great start to the fall term! Your Units 1, 2, & 3 Bargaining Team (BT) took the first week of classes off of bargaining to focus on settling into the beginning of semester’s teaching and research responsibilities. The BT also made it very clear that they expect the employer to do some serious work this week to craft concrete written proposals that meaningfully address members’ needs and priorities.
While there won’t be a BT report this week, you can catch up on all the previous BT reports by clicking here. There are also tons of upcoming bargaining-related events to be aware of! The BT is back at the bargaining table at 9:30AM on September 15, 2PM on September 22, 1PM on September 25, and 10AM on September 29. Per our practice of open bargaining, if you’re a member, you’re welcome to observe, pass notes, and see the negotiations for yourself!
There are also upcoming opportunities to share your perspectives on bargaining and join the conversation with fellow members. You can attend the All Units Bargaining Townhall, happening from 10AM – 12PM on September 17 in hybrid format, to hear updates from the BT and tell them your thoughts! Also, don’t miss this month’s General Membership Meeting, happening on September 24 from 1 – 4PM, where the membership can have their say on the bargaining process. (Register in advance!)
We’ll be back to your regularly-scheduled BT reports next week, and we hope to see you at an event sometime this month!
