Bargaining Team Report – March 10, 2026

The CUPE 3903 Units 1, 2, & 3 Bargaining Team met again yesterday (March 10) for the second of five planned meetings in March. The Bargaining Team worked toward finalizing its schedule over the next few months and began more substantive work on formulating and evaluating proposals.

As a reminder, all CUPE 3903 members can — and are encouraged to — attend and participate in all Bargaining Team meetings. The Bargaining Team has also committed itself to sharing for member review many of the research and working documents through which it will execute its role. Access to these documents is typically related through attendance at Bargaining Team meetings, although members interested in specific materials can always contact the Bargaining Team at bargaining@cupe3903.org

The Bargaining Team has three further meetings scheduled for March, in addition to a joint meeting with the CUPE 3903 Executive Committee on March 27. Further information on meetings, including locations and access links, is always available through the CUPE 3903 calendar. As per the bargaining parameters passed by membership at the February General Membership Meeting, notice for Bargaining Meetings (including agendas) is typically provided at least one week prior to the meeting. Our next meeting is scheduled for March 17, 2026, 2 – 3:30PM.

Later this month, the Bargaining Team will begin the process of introducing, discussing, debating, and, where required and desired, voting upon proposals for inclusion in the package it will present to the Employer later this year. While only members of the Bargaining Team can vote at Bargaining Team meetings, all proposals recommended by the Bargaining Team must subsequently be approved by membership at a General or Special General Membership Meeting (SGMM).

A trio of SGMMs, intended exclusively for reviewing, evaluating, amending, and approving (or rejecting for further revision) the Bargaining Team’s recommended proposals, will be scheduled soon. The first of these SGMMs is intended for mid-April. Additionally, a number of informal, non-deliberative Town Halls on specific bargaining subjects are set to be announced soon too! These will take place in late March through mid-April. More information on both SGMMs and Town Halls will follow once the parameters of both have been finalized.

That’s all for now! We hope to see you next week!
