Bargaining Team Report – January 13, 2026

The Bargaining Team (BT) held an introductory meeting on Tuesday, January 13th, 2026, with new members from units 1 & 2, as well as some past BT members, union executive, and CUPE staff in attendance. The focus of this meeting was on key operational procedures, hearing from CUPE staff and former BT members on best practices and delegation of duties, and ensuring all members had access to bargaining archives.

Future BT meeting dates will be communicated to the membership through the 3903 calendar and newsletter, and all members will be welcome to attend! Until vacant team positions for all units are filled in the by-elections, future meetings will be held on an ad hoc basis and scheduled around voting members’ availability to ensure quorum is reached.

The BT looks forward to hearing directly from the membership about their bargaining priorities and encourages everyone to fill out the bargaining survey. If every CUPE 3903 member reached out to five colleagues to encourage them to fill out the survey, we’d have a much greater overall picture of what’s on the minds of our membership. The BT looks forward to welcoming new members through the coming by-elections and will be focusing on initial bargaining preparations and research until that time.
