Bargaining Team Report – May 19, 2026

The Units 1, 2, & 3 Bargaining Team (BT) is pleased to report that the first set of bargaining proposals was approved by the membership at the Tuesday, May 19 General Membership Meeting (GMM)! The proposals passed were mostly non-monetary and housekeeping in nature, with important updates to equity and accommodation articles, employer reporting requirements, and a new leave article. Thank you to all the members who attended the GMM and engaged in important discussions around these proposals. For more information on the proposals passed, members can contact the BT at bargaining@cupe3903.org.

The BT will be bringing the remaining proposals, including those on wages and benefits, along with several other key issues to the membership for discussion and a vote at the upcoming Special General Membership Meeting (SGMM). The SGMM will be taking place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 1 – 4PM. In-person room location at Keele Campus T.B.A. or you can attend virtually via Zoom. (Make sure to register either way!)

Attending the SGMM is the best way to have your say on these key proposals. We’ll be using this SGMM as a way of kicking off this round of bargaining! Light snacks and drinks will be provided for those who are there in-person, with outdoor fun to follow afterwards. Hope to see you at the SGMM to kick off bargaining!
