To fill a vacancy left by a member’s resignation, the Executive Committee has appointed pro-tem (temporarily) Unit 2 member Angela Hug to the Research Grants and Conference Travel Funds Committee, which will adjudicate the second round of applications to these two funds in March.
Per our bylaws (Article 10(e)), we have opened nominations to fill the position permanently (i.e., until the annual elections for this committee in September). If you wish to nominate yourself, please email your expression of interest and a 200-word candidate statement to Joseph Tohill, Vice-President Unit 2, at vpu2@cupe3903.org (include the committee’s name in the subject line) by Thursday, March 5, at 4PM.
If no other member nominates themselves, the member temporarily appointed to the position will be acclaimed. If another member is nominated, a by-election will take place at the Annual General Meeting on March 19.
