Nominate Yourself: Committee By-Elections!

Calling all CUPE 3903 members!

Please consider running for open committee positions in the upcoming by-elections taking place at the April 23rd General Membership Meeting.

We are currently taking nominations for the following unfilled positions:

  • Bargaining Research Preparatory Committee (1 position)
  • CUPE Toronto District Council (1 position)
  • Employment Equity Committee (2 positions)
  • Finance Committee (2 positions)
  • Joint Health and Safety Committee (7 positions)
  • Labour Management Committee – Unit 3 Representative (1 position)
  • Research Costs Fund Committee (1 position)
  • Toronto & York Region Labour Council (3 positions)
  • Ways & Means Committee (1 position)

Members in good standing may nominate themselves using the CUPE 3903 April 2025 Committees By-elections Nomination Form.

Information regarding each committee can be found in on the committees page of our website. Per the Bylaws, members may serve on a maximum of four (4) committees per year.

Any committee positions with more nominees than open positions open will be voted on at the April 2025 General Membership Meeting (GMM). Otherwise, nominees will be acclaimed to their positions.

Candidates are invited to include a statement in support of their nomination(s). Statements received by Tuesday 22 April at 5:00 PM, Toronto Time (EDT, UTC-4) will be included in the GMM package. Nominations can still be submitted after this deadline but will likely not be included in the GMM package.

Members can also nominate themselves during the GMM, and candidates for any contested positions will be given a chance to make a two-minute statement supporting their candidacy.

Voting will take place at the GMM and end when the meeting ends.

If you have any questions, please email Joseph Tohill, Vice-President Unit 2, at  cupe3903vpu2@gmail.com
