CUPE 3903 Archive Committee Receives CCLH Grant for 50th Anniversary Project!

The Archive Committee is proud to announce that it has received a $1000 grant from the Canadian Committee on Labour History to assist in its CUPE 3903 50th Anniversary Project!

The grant will aid the Archive Committee in staging a series of public exhibitions of material from the CUPE 3903 Archive, to be held at both the Keele and Glendon campuses in Fall 2025. More information on these exhibitions will follow over the summer.

The Archive Committee is also conducting interviews with past and present members of the local, for inclusion in the Archive. Accordingly, if, at any point over the past fifty years, you have been a member in good standing with the York University Graduate Assistant’s Association, the Canadian Union of Educational Workers local 3, or the Canadian Union of Public Employees local 3903, and wish to share your experiences for posterity, please contact us at cupe3903archive@gmail.com.

We’re happy as well to answer any and every question you might have about the CUPE 3903 Archive and our 50th Anniversary Project. And if you have any old papers or records you’d like to donate, please let us know too!

We look forward to hearing from you, and sharing with everyone the history of our labour at York University!
