Announcement: Executive By-Elections

Nominations for three executive committee positions will open at the August 21st General Membership Meeting.  

The positions available for nominations are: 

  • Lead Steward Unit 1 
  • Lead Steward Unit 3 
  • Lead Steward Unit 4 

As there were no General Membership Meetings (GMMs) over the summer, the position of Lead Steward Unit 1 was filled on a pro tem (temporary) basis in June. The bylaws mandate that elections must open at the next GMM following any pro tem appointment.  The nomination, campaigning, and election periods will be announced soon.

All members, especially Black, First Nations, and racialized members, and members from other equity seeking groups, are strongly encouraged to run for the executive committee in fulfillment of our equity mandate.
