Congratulations! 2026-2027 Teaching Development Fund Grant Recipients

Congratulations to the following CUPE 3903 members who have been awarded Teaching Development Fund (TDF) grants for 2026–2027!

Major TDF grants (valued at one course directorship) were awarded to:

  • Shadikur Rahman

Minor TDF grants (valued at $3000) were awarded to:

  • Alireza Siadatan
  • Jonathan Osborn
  • Natalia Khomenko
  • Xiao Ning (Karen) Shi

The TDF grant competition is adjudicated by two elected Unit 2 members and a representative the Teaching Commons. The grants assist member to develop new programs of study, new courses and teaching materials, and teaching skills.

Two major grants are available each year to contract faculty who have held at least one Type 1 or equivalent position (e.g., a CD or three tutor positions) in each of the two years before the start of this contract year. Up to five minor grants are also available. Applications are due annually on February 1.
