Upcoming CUPE 3903 Workshops: Let’s Talk About Conflict Resolution!

Conflict happens: between colleagues, comrades, and even CUPE 3903 members. It’s crucial to have ways to resolve those conflicts that are both responsible and reciprocal!

The week of September 28, CUPE 3903 members are needed to participate in workshopping sessions to talk about how to resolve conflicts that arise in our local. Sometimes conflicts are a result of raced, gendered, and classed divisions, sometimes they come from political differences, sometimes they are because of restructuring. Talking about conflict resolution is in the interest of being able to be in community and work together across differences, and ultimately have a local that is more accountable, responsive, and collegial. Workshopping sessions will be designed around a combination of discussing scenarios, and looking at existing ways to resolve conflict.

Join us for these two upcoming workshops where you can play a hands-on role in shaping the policy for how your union addresses internal conflict when it arises! Facilitated in a conversational and open format, these workshops will have an in-person and a virtual option where you can chime in to help build the conflict resolution policy you’d like to see.

We’ll have more details soon in upcoming newsletters and on the CUPE 3903 calendar! These workshops are planned to take place in the week of September 28 – October 2, so save the date and stay tuned for more information. For any questions, please contact Zoë Newman, Chairperson, at chairperson@cupe3903.org.
