UHIP Fund Update

For international students in Units 1 and 3 who are paying UHIP premiums, please know that CUPE 3903 representatives are actively seeking answers about what you can expect from the UHIP Fund this Fall.

We have received confirmation that UHIP Fund payments will be applied to student accounts before the end of October, but we do not yet know what amount each eligible member can expect to receive, given the employer’s recent position that they will no longer top-up the fund to cover all members and dependents. We will share more information as soon as we can.

Your Units 1, 2, & 3 Bargaining Team is continuing to fight to restore the UHIP Fund so that international student members have all their premiums covered, including for dependents. Find out more about the UHIP Fund situation by clicking here.
