All about this event: At this open forum, YUGSA and CUPE 3903 members will speak about the context of the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) milestone regulation. We’ll be discussing the impacts of milestone enforcement for TA contracts, on international students, and on students with accommodations.
Special guest Apol Apuntar—Licensed Paralegal and Human Rights, Employment, & Immigration Law Advocate—will address the impacts of enrolment blocks on international students. (Please note that any information provided is for general purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.)
There will also be opportunities for Q&A and to participate in a discussion of what would help students to meet milestones. The event will be hybrid, with facilitation online and in-person. Light refreshments will be available for in-person attendees!
