Don’t forget to fill out your Employee Self-Identification Survey before the year ends!

Have you filled out the 2024 Employee Self-Identification Survey in HR Self Serve? You might have gotten a message about it from the Employer, at the prompting of our Labour-Management Committee.

It’s important for all members to fill this out before the end of 2024, not just members of equity groups, so that York can have an accurate picture of the demographics of our workplace.

By filling the survey, you can prevent skewed data produced by a low return on the surveys making it unclear whether the Employer is meeting its employment equity targets under the Federal Contractors’ Program. Historically, because members of Employment Equity groups are more likely than others to fill out the survey, the data produced is often not representative.

Log into HR Self Serve with your Employee Passport York, and you can find the survey under “Personal Details”. Click “Employee Self-Identification” to do the survey!

We’ll let you know once the 2025 survey is available, so please stay tuned for more updates.
