BIPOC Mentoring: From Grad Student to Contract Faculty

March 18 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Are you a Black and/or Indigenous and/or person of colour (BIPOC) interested in learning more about Unit 2 contract faculty work? As a part of the Mentoring Program Fund, this session is geared to support Unit 1 and 3 members, as well as newer Unit 2 members, who are seeking advice and guidance on applying for contract work both at York University and other postsecondary institutions. Job searches can be daunting and time consuming, so this session seeks to offer insights on how and where to get started, and to consider the steps and requirements involved in the process.

This session will be facilitated by Elena Chou. Elena is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Sociology at York University, and also works as a Researcher and as Contract Faculty/Sessional Lecturer at York University, Wilfrid Laurier University, and Trent University.
