3903 Pal Sol Working Group: FOI Skills Session

October 6 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

From the rank-and-file members in the CUPE 3903 Palestine Solidarity Working Group:

Want to build your organising skills? Want to learn how to file a Freedom of Information (FOI) request? Under provincial law (FIPPA), universities (and other public institutions) are required to retain records of their internal communications and decision-making processes — records that members of the public can request to be disclosed. Needless to say, this can be a vital tool for holding institutions to account. Join the CUPE 3903 Pal Sol Working Group for a skills-sharing session on FIPPA / FOIs on October 6th from 4:00-5:30pm in FSC 430.

*The FOI session will be followed by an introduction to the Pal Sol WG’s own research work aimed at documenting York’s deep ties to anti-Palestinian agendas.

A red, green, and white graphic with the CUPE 3903 Palestine Solidarity Working Group logo, a raised fist holding a phone, and a magnifying glass with eye inside examining a document. The graphic's text reads: Join our FOI (Freedom of Information) Skills Session. Want to build your organizing skills? Learn techniques to hold institutions accountable? Discover York U anti-Palestinian ties? October 6th. 4-5:30PM. FSC 430.
