This in-person Mentoring Program Fund workshop will develop participants’ skills around reciprocal relationship building, boundary setting, active listening and holding space for sensitive disclosures and hard conversations.
We will begin by contextualizing these ideas within the institution of York University, and explore what reciprocal relationships could look like within an environment that fosters competition and extractive modalities of relationality. Through interactive learning and discussion, participants will put these ideas into practice and explore different scenarios and contradictions and how to navigate through them together.
The location will be HNE B10 (Health, Nursing & Environmental Studies).
This event will take place Wednesday April 9, 11:30AM-3PM, including lunch and breaks.
