Building Union Capacity: Anti-Oppression Skills Building Sessions for Members

If you are a CUPE 3903 member doing work on a committee or are active in Stewards’ Council, you have access to annual anti-oppression training to develop your skills and improve the union’s collective capacity for ongoing equity work.

In August 2009, the membership approved an Anti-Oppression Training protocol that spells out how this happens each year. Each training is designed based on the specific knowledge and skills of the people involved, in relation to the particular union roles they have taken on, with attention to the collective agreement context of any given year.
