SUMMARY:Open Bargaining with the Employer
DESCRIPTION:All CUPE 3903 members are encouraged to join the Units 1\, 2\, & 3 Bargaining Team in this meeting with the Employer. It’s scheduled for Thursday\, October 1 from 10AM – 5PM. \n\n\n\nThis bargaining meeting is hybrid\, online and in-person. A link for CUPE 3903 members to attend is available here. The in-person space for this bargaining session will be 280N (in York Lanes). If you attend in-person\, a member of the Bargaining Team can let you in. \n\n\n\nCUPE 3903 practices open bargaining. That means that as a member\, you’re empowered to attend bargaining sessions\, shape the process\, and access transparent info about all the bargaining issues that impact you. \n\n\n\nIf you’re a brand new CUPE 3903 member and/or attending bargaining for the first time\, please email bargaining@cupe3903.org to let us know you’ll be there! This will help us verify your membership and keep our spaces secure\, especially while we’re waiting on updated membership lists. \n\n\n\nFor CUPE 3903 members who observe bargaining with the employer\, please be advised that you can pass notes to the Bargaining Team as needed. For any questions about the link\, location\, or how open bargaining works\, please contact bargaining@cupe3903.org.

SUMMARY:Palestine Solidarity Working Group: How York Works & How It Could Work Differently
DESCRIPTION:From the rank-and-file led CUPE 3903 Palestine Solidarity Working Group: \n\n\n\nLearn about York University’s structure and governance\, and how we can use these to take back our university! As York administration undermines student autonomy\, and democratic or ‘collegial’ governance\, learning how these systems are set up gives us more ways to reimagine and remake our university together.  \n\n\n\nWe will workshop campaign ideas—bring your own if you want to work through it together! We’ll learn about internal York targets\, and brainstorming different tactics and tools for researching. Together\, we’ll think through where students have representation\, what the governance bodies are at York\, as well as potential allies across student organizations\, student unions\, and labor unions. \n\n\n\n🖤 Presented by: Angela Stigliano & Corey Orszak (CUPE 3903) \n\n\n\n😷 COVID mitigation: Masking is encouraged\, and available for free at the door. There will be HEPA filters running in the space\, and open windows. \n\n\n\nClick here for more information and to register for this free event.
