SUMMARY:CUPE 3903 Welcome Back BBQ!
DESCRIPTION:After a year of bargaining and two months of striking\, we’re ready to start the year sizzling hot! CUPE 3903 is bringing the heat by hosting its annual Welcome Back BBQ on September 26th from 12-4PM on the Roy McMurtry Green (between Atkinson and Osgoode Hall) just across our office\, which is located on 96 The Pond Road / 143 Atkinson Building. \nUse this map for directions:  \n \n  \nHelp bring out the new members in your department to introduce them to their union. This is also a great opportunity to casually ask any questions about the union’s activities and resources\, as well as how you can get involved. \nThere will be vegan\, halal\, and kosher food options. Accessible washrooms are available both in the Atkinson and Second Student Centre buildings\, and there will be seating available as well. Volunteers are still needed to help out on the day of the event\, be it with set up\, tabling\, and/or help cooking! \nThe weather forecast for Thursday afternoon is currently 22°C (feeling like 25°C) and overcast. We will have tents set up to provide shade from the sun and/or shelter from light rain. While we hope to have great weather for the BBQ\, we (unfortunately) can’t guarantee it. If there is heavy rain or thunderstorms\, we will postpone the BBQ and send out notice over email and via our social media channels by 10:00 am on Thursday morning. \n\nIf you want to help\, please contact your lead stewards:  \nBecky Whiley\, Lead Steward Unit 1\, cupe3903csu1@gmail.com\nNeil Braganza\, Lead Steward Unit 2\,  cupe3903chiefstewardunit2@gmail.com\nShyam Patel\, Lead Steward Unit 3\, cupe3903csu3@gmail.com\nSusan Bryant\, Lead Steward Unit 4\, cupe3903csu4@gmail.com
